Enrolling 290 day boys and girls from north central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire in Kindergarten - Grade 9, Applewild celebrates its 50th year of academic excellence, the development of core values, and the social, physical, and emotional well-being of each student. The program is predicated on an understanding of children and offers an enriching and award-winning combination of traditional academic subjects coupled with “specials” such as art, wood shop, music, French, and physical education. The curriculum spirals in a well-planned way from Kindergarten to Grade 9. Students begin science with trained professionals in Kindergarten and choose French, Latin, or Spanish beginning in Grade 6. They can choose from interscholastic sports or fine or performing art mentor programs in Grade 7 and engage in developmentally appropriate community service options in K - 9.
