Private Catholic College Preparatory Day School - Grades 6 to 12Founded by the Augustinian Fathers, Austin Preparatory School is a coeducational, secondary day school in the Roman Catholic tradition, serving 700 young people from many religious, racial, and cultural backgrounds in Grades 6 through 12. In the Augustinian tradition of “one mind, one heart, intent on God,” the Campus Ministry offers liturgies, communal prayer, days of recollection, and retreats to inspire spiritual growth in students of all faiths. The rigorous educational program is designed to equip students for success in higher education and in all other aspects of their lives. The curriculum is presented at five ability levels, known as the Phase System, to accommodate students' varied college and career goals. Students who benefit from additional support are enrolled in Phase Two, while Phase Five features Advanced Placement and college-level courses. Among the activities are school government, academic honor societies, a literary magazine, a quarterly newspaper, theater, debate, chorus, band, language clubs, and 16 interscholastic athletics. Students are also involved in service outreach and assist in humanitarian efforts such as the World AIDS Project. Tuition: $12,300. Scholarships, financial aid, and sibling discounts are available. Kevin J. Driscoll is Director of Admission and Financial Aid; Paul J. Moran is Head of School. New England Association.
